

As this is the season of rememberances, I have spent time wandering the churchyard in the village and reading the poetic headstones there some of which date from the early 18th century though there are above-ground tombs closest to the church that are earlier but the dates have long sense worn away. As many of the graves here and elsewhere in my travels remind us, their readers, with their refrain, appropriate for this day and time of year, that "Tempus cursum, memoriae mors"...TIME FLIES, REMEMBER DEATH."
A solemn, important time of the year, again beautifully shone to us from across the pond.
